About Jen…
ME
Hi there! I’m a photographer located in the east San Francisco Bay Area and I love taking photos of dogs…But it’s so much more than that. Monk, pictured above, changed everything for me. He made me realize just how special a bond between a dog and a person can be. Dogs are these unbelievable, loyal creatures who love us unconditionally, and I love to document the spirit of a dog, and the bond we share with them.
I have an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University along with an MBA from UC Davis. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Oregon. Apparently, I like school.
MY WORK
Dogs are my thing. My visual style is defined by soft light, bright, happy, love-filled images focused on the special spirit of a dog, and the bond we share with them.
My photography work has been shown nationally in galleries and publications such as:
The Center for Fine Art Photography (Fort Collins, CO)
The Black Box Gallery (Portland, OR)
The Lightroom Gallery (Berkeley, CA)
Cumberland Gallery (Nashville, TN)
Under the Gum Tree (print publication)
Lenscratch (online)
The Capital Artists’ Studio Tour (Sacramento, CA) *Curator’s pick as Featured Artist
Academy of Art Spring Show (San Francisco, CA)
Let’s see...what else do you need to know. I have fifteen-year-old twins, a husband who unconditionally supports my insanity, and Monk, of course. I love Adam Levine, Ted Lasso, sour patch kids and dogs. I hate squirrels, people who chew with their mouths open, anything to do with politics, Jada Pinkett Smith (I don’t really know why) and flying.
